Recognizing Your Efforts Beyond Results

As the year draws to a close, I invite you to pause for a moment.

Not to analyze your results or recalculate your objectives, but simply to look at everything you have carried this year. Not only the visible successes, the contracts signed, the goals achieved, but also the difficult conversations, the moments of doubt when you still moved forward, and especially the things you yourself may not even notice anymore because they seem “normal.”

Too often, committed people, those who carry responsibility and support others, move forward without recognizing the value of their own efforts. Yet nothing is owed.

Every morning you rise to carry your company, support your projects, your teams, your family… you do so because you choose to.

Everything you have done this year, you have done because you chose to.

The Illusion of Duty

At times we live under the illusion that we must lead, that we must carry responsibility, that we must succeed.

But in reality, you always have the choice to walk away.

And yet, you do not.

You continue.
Minute after minute, you continue.

Recognize Your Choices, Not Only Your Results

Take a moment to realize this: everything you do, you do because you decided to.

When you believe you are acting out of obligation, you forget that every decision rests on your freedom—your freedom to act, or not to act.

Taking responsibility for a company is a choice.
Taking responsibility for a family is another.

And these choices deserve to be recognized.

What Are Your Victories

So ask yourself:

What were your victories?
What choices did you make each day?
What did you carry this year?
Who were you in the difficult moments?
What are you proud of, even if no one saw it?

Take a moment to acknowledge your achievements, both large and small.

A leader who recognizes their own value is also more attentive to the efforts of others.
And that recognition nourishes everyone with energy.
Over time, that energy becomes a collective strength.
